Bob Paterson

Robert (Bob) Paterson, was born at Unity, Sask. 1936 of Scottish, Norwegian heritage but grew up in Sudbury, Ont. He studied at the Ontario College of Art, was assistant to Ronald York Wilson on the Imperial Oil and Hummingbird Centre Murals, and can be seen in the Budge Crawley film "Mural".

Bob Paterson

Bob has been involved with Inuit art since 1964. He taught drawing and printmaking at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario from 1972-78 and since that time has been a full-time artist, doing mainly lithography but also watercolours and drawing. He is the author of a book entitled *abstract concept of drawing* which was used for some time in Ontario high schools and elsewhere.

Bob moved to Hawk Junction 1984 and with his wife Marion this continues to be home and studio. His most recent exhibit was a major show of drawings at the Art Gallery of Algoma in Sault Ste. Marie in the summer of 2002.
