Anna Hudson was the Associate Curator of Canadian Art at the Art Gallery of Ontario, and Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Programme in Art History at York University. She received her doctorate in the History of Art from the University of Toronto in 1997 for her dissertation, Art and Social Progress: the Toronto community
of painters, 1933-1950. As of 2002, Hudson was involved in several projects, including: the integration of First Nations visual culture in the Canadian Wing of the AGO, an exhibition of historical and contemporary Canadian art ("Inventing Canada") planned for The State Hermitage Museum, and an exhibition of the work of Robert Markle and Joyce Wieland.
Dr. Hudson is currently Assistant Professor, Canadian Art and Curatorial Studies in the Department of Visual Arts at York University
