A graduate of McGill University's School of Architecture
in 1994, with a year-long study at Italys Architectural Institute of Venice in 1992,
John Leroux has worked for architecture firms in both Atlanta and Toronto before moving
back to his hometown of Fredericton, where he currently works with Fellows & Company
Limited. He has also completed his Master's Degree in Canadian Art History from Concordia
University in Montreal, with his thesis focusing on the murals of Fred Ross.
Pursuing a wide range of interests, John has won a number of public art
competition awards in Ontario, designed stage sets for several Theatre New Brunswick
productions, contributed to the Telegraph-Journal's New Brunswick Reader, and designed CD
graphics for the acclaimed blues trio Hot Toddy. He has recently released his first book:
a collection of architectural photographs entitled A Fredericton Alphabet,
published by Broken Jaw Press.
